I trained at a major commercial practice in Bristol before taking up a partnership in Bath where I worked for over 10 years. After a career break to raise my young son I returned to practice working in the legal services department of a large borough council in South Wales before moving back to private practice in Stroud in 2015.
I have advised on commercial property matters for over 20 years and my areas of work include commercial sales and purchases of land, offices, retail and industrial; leasehold matters including the grant of new leases, assignments and business tenancy renewals acting for both landlord and tenant; commercial lending; and small business sales and purchases.
I work closely with my clients to provide sound practical legal advice and am equally at home drafting and negotiating complex option agreements, overage provisions or conditional contracts for landowners and developers as I am helping to get a small local business in to their new commercial premises.
Outside of work I enjoy family life and entertaining. I have travelled extensively and enjoy getting out in the countryside walking and cycling.
I have used Cheryl on many occasions to deal with business matters regarding leases on commercial premises … she has always been extremely professional, helpful and efficient. Cheryl will always be my first call regarding any legal matters I have
Cheryl has a very easy manner whilst keeping on top of all the instructions we have given her. She was always chasing and you felt she had her finger on the pulse. Cheryl is always available to give advice and we are more than happy to use her any time.
