I qualified as a solicitor in 1991 having graduated in law at Leicester University and completed the Law Society Finals at Chester College of Law.
I began my career in London and gained experience at a law firm in Sydney, before returning to England where I have spent the majority of time practising in Gloucestershire. I joined Lapage Norris in 2005, a predecessor firm of Redkite Solicitors, and became a partner in 2007.
I have a very wide experience in all aspects of litigation. I have previously acted as Duty Solicitor, conducted trials in the Magistrates Court, represented Claimants and Defendants in personal injury cases, and dealt with divorce and Children’s Act matters.
More recently I have concentrated on a broad range of legal work including property, landlord and tenant, employment, inheritance and commercial disputes.
I enjoy helping my clients to seek cost effective solutions to sometimes seemingly intractable problems. There is usually a way through what can be a very stressful and challenging time. We have a supportive and friendly approach to our clients and it is that interaction with people that I most enjoy about the job.
Outside of work I have a busy family life and am a very keen sportsman. I play tennis competitively and have represented the county; I enjoy golf and playing cricket with my son for a local club side. I have run the London Marathon twice and a few half marathons. I still enjoy running albeit each year, it’s slower than the last!
